This is not your average blog article; this is a reality check. Let me just tell you the raw truth. Your budget is not the problem, your income is. I know that this blog article will not get me liked by a lot of people, but the truth is the truth and there is nothing better than self awareness. I want to reach out to those individuals who are believers, those people who believe in themselves, who want to learn and who, therefore, want to and will be better than the person they were yesterday….

You might argue that you don’t have the budget to come to the Think Beyond workshop – whatever the £/€ cost – or that you don’t have the budget to build a new web presence, but in reality the problem is not that you don’t have the cash to go for it, the problem is that you don’t have enough income. This is the precise reason why you need to invest in a workshop, in a branding, new creative website, social media campaign, or any tool that will get you to the next level. You need to learn how to be a leader on social media, how to use new platforms to win in business and learn how to increase your income. If you continue to do the same things, then how can you expect the results to be any different?

If you want to stay where you are,  keep on watching the news, follow what politicians say you should do and depend on the Prime Minister to fix your money problems. If you want to succeed and move on to the next level of your business strategy, then you have to Think Beyond and Do Beyond.

You have to invest in things that will produce money. Do you think David Cameron / Nicos Anastasiades – or any other politician – will help you increase your income? If so, then be prepared to wait forever and remain right where you are.

The only person responsible for the income that your company produces is you, nobody else. You have to take the right actions, period.

Stop watching the news, blaming the economy, waiting for something to change and start investing in yourself. The best excuse I hear (and telling myself for years) I will get couple of new clients and then I will do it.

Some of you won’t like hearing what I have to say, but even if this is the case, you know I’m talking about the real advantages and disadvantages of the new business world. Some people prefer to find cheap solutions to their problems, and tell me that they can find a much more inexpensive way to solve their problems. Of course you can find a cheaper solution, I’m not competing with anyone else and I’m definitely not trying to be the cheapest solution in the market. I want to practice what I preach and be better than the person I was yesterday because I will continue to be the guy and the company (IQ Digital) that delivers results. The results I delivered yesterday are fewer than the ones I can offer today, and the ones I will manage to offer you tomorrow will be even more. You want cheap? Go ahead and invest in cheap solutions, but be aware that in the end you will actually pay double the price because you won’t accomplish the desired results you set or yourself, so you will have to pay the first cheap company you hired, and then you will also have to pay me to do the job right and fix the broken things.

I can get my point across by sharing one of my experiences with you. A potential client let me know that she would  move forward with a cheaper company rather than IQ Digital Agency, I told her she was making a mistake and that she would come back to IQ Digital. Three months down the line she called me to ask if she could come to us because she was not happy with the current provider. The initial proposal I provided was £4,400 and the first provider she went with cost her £2,100. Now she will have to pay £6,500 in total to do a job that could have been done in the first place for £4,400. Do you see my point? This is not the first time that something like this has happened to me, and it is becoming a cycle.
